General Appearance: Has long black hair, yellow amber-ish eyes and pale skin. She is of average height and not considered pretty in the traditional sense. Mostly she is considered 'striking' due to the contrast caused by all of her features. Having a delicate build she always seems to be smaller than she is at first glance. She also looks younger than she really is.

History: Kagura was found by a monk of Esto Gaza one day on the balcony that overlooks the space where the Shimmering Island used to be. She was still a new born and while the monks of Esto Gaza searched for her mother they were unsuccessful. After debating what to do with the child they decided to raise her as a group. She grew up under their watchful eyes and never knew anything different. There were few pilgrims coming to see the Shimmering Island when she lived there as a child as there were few humans, or other races, living on the Lost Continent. It was discovered that she had the potential to use Black magic when she was little and she accidentally set clothes on fire. The monks trained her in the magic as best they could - which was pretty much nothing. Instead they taught her the concentration and self discipline needed to become a master of her element.
Kagura was 19 when Kuja came to Esto Gaza and invaded Mount Gulug. This was the first time she learned of a world beyond her own and she wished to see it. A few years went by and the continents became more connected. Seeing her opportunity Kagura began to travel the world in hopes of learning all that she could. Even though she has lived the majority of her life at Esto Gaza and even bears the place's name as her own (since no one else knew what name to give her) she has never fully seen it as home. She has been traveling for three years now and still hasn't found anyplace where she would want to stay. She secretly dreams of one day falling in love but doesn't actively seek it out. Kagura makes money doing various things but most often takes temporary positions as a house keeper since she was the one in charge of keeping everything clean at Esto Gaza in the temple.
She is generally calm and friendly and has a warm personality. She doesn't tolerate anyone taking advantage of her or any of the maids who work with her. Kagura can be a formidable opponent or the best of allies. Always polite and respectful she can seem very cold at fist. She is an extremely clean person so the household she works in is always presentable. Dust fears her. She has amazing self control and discipline thanks to her upbringing and she has a very strong will. Kagura fully believes in the necessity of some form of rules and punishment system but often finds fault with the current systems used around Gaia. She is adamant that the punishment fits the crime committed.
